The Electrical diagram
Electrical diagrams like the one on the left are similar to roadmaps for electricity.
The electricity passes along the lines from the source through control switches to operate loads. In order to read the diagram, just as words are used as symbols to describe things, the electric symbols are used to describe what happens to the electricity when it encounters the controls or loads in the circuits. Diagrams are used by technicians to troubleshoot electrical problems.
